Crafting Your Statement of Purpose: A UEP Workshop for Prospective Students

Please join us for an informational virtual chat session to learn more about our programs in the

Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning

This session consists of a workshop from 5:30-6:30pm followed by a Q&A from 6:30-7:00pm and will cover:
  • Broad guidance of what the Statement of Purpose is and what to include in yours.
  • An interactive virtual meeting with faculty and current students.
  • Brainstorming your UEP narrative.
  • Guidance for folks at all stages of the application writing process – from brainstorming to drafting to polishing.
This event is intended for BIPOC applicants, first generation college students and college grads, first generation graduate program applicants, and anyone else seeking guidance on elements of a graduate application. If you feel like other people must know more about this than you do, join us to demystify our application process!

You will also receive an application fee waiver for your Fall 2023 application if you attend and participate.
